Hey, has anyone had the cooling system replaced by a shop? I'm going to ask for an estimate and wondering what kind of price to expect. I'm talking about replacing radiator, water pump, thermostat, hoses, and a complete coolant flush. Plus whatever else I might not know about that should be done on a mostly-original cooling system on the 2002 120k 6cyl manual I just got.

From what I've seen, around $400-$500 total for Mopar parts (and stant thermostat) is what I'd expect. But I'm not sure about the labor, 4-5 hours is what I've read. Anyone had a shop do this?

I recently had a radiator shop replace the heater core in my TJ. Their shop rate was at the low end of the scale for 2019 shop rates - only $89/hr. The going rate in my area is typically $125 and up for independent repair shops.

According to this website that Google found for me, average shop rates in 2017 were just under $160/hr in California and just over $160/hr. in Florida:
