Craigslist: love it, hate it

I've been eyeballing an ad for the last month for a slightly used... Currie Currectlync, asking price $400. installed for just a few weeks and then taken off. " New Condition". So i call the guy and we meet up. He pulls out the currectlync, minus the steering stabilizer bracket, and upon closer inspection, iI notice all the boots are ripped . Guess whoever uninstalled them from the jeep used a pickle fork and ripped them. long story short...new stabilizer bracket from currie =$38 and change plus shipping, new boots &13 and change X 4= $52 plus shipping. Brand new in the box Currectlync with all hardware intact = $ 502 free shipping. The awesome CL deal aint so awesome anymore. Typical!

Most recently had my fill while looking for my current jeep.
Knew I didn't really want to go to a dealer and it's just so damn easy to filter what you are looking for on CL vs. an Auto Trader magazine.
But I got real tired of all the "excellent condition, Blah, blah, blah" ads, just to get there to find a total POS.
Finally did find a good one though!
I have also been on the other side as well, sold two boats on CL and neither was an enjoyable experience.

Now that's just hilarious. Any idiot who would trade their Jeep Wrangler for an XTerra (especially one with a rebuilt title) has to be the dumbest person alive.

Yeah, that's Craigslist for you.

There's some idiot on my local Craigslist asking $300 for his iPad Mini 3 (32GB) with a touch ID sensor that doesn't work.

I can go buy an iPad Mini 4 (which I did) with 32GB for $299 BRAND NEW!

Some people are just idiots.

Then there's this last 'shopper'. He calls last Thursday, leaves a VM on my phone asking if I still have the top. Called him right back to say yes, and we scheduled a time where he could look at the top. He said he would call me Friday after work. Friday comes, no call. Finally I text to ask if he still plans to come by. He texts 'yes, around 6'. 6 comes and goes, no guy, no call, no text. 7 comes and goes, same. I send him one more text saying we need to go out, he texts back 'I'm out and about, too, so I'll touch base in the AM'. If he was 'out and about', why didn't he let me know he wasn't coming by so I wouldn't wait around? Of course, he never 'touched base' in the AM, or any other time yesterday. Apparently lost interest, but didn't have the decency to tell me that. Like I said love it, hate it.

Whatta ya know??? A month later Mr. No-show calls back, this time he not only showed up on time, he bought the top. I guess I spoke too soon!
