Dana 44 axle identification

I need help identifying the Dana 44 rear axle in my 2003 Jeep TJ. The axle is not original to the 2003 and I was told it came from an earlier Sport. The location where I expected the manufacturing date to be appears to read “ R6646”. The location where the part number or BOM is shown to be appears to reads “ 351 A / “. Planning to install alloy axles and a disk brake conversion.

The brake line hold down clip shows that to be a TJ rear axle. A pic of the cover will tell the rest of the story which if it is a Dana 44, then the only thing you need to know is that it is a 44. The housing ends and brake solutions are the same for all TJ 44's.

Thank you Blaine! The Revolution web site got me a little confused by listing their SKU RAK44-1 axles as only fitting Wrangler Non-Rubicon 2004 - 06. I will call them tomorrow.

That would only be an issue of the correct retainer being installed for disc brakes. Or they may have them set up with the slightly shorter press in studs for drum brakes. None of which should be the case for aftermarket axles but who knows?
