I am starting to source parts for rebuilding a set of Rubi Dana 44 axles and I have found a few listings that lead me to believe there is a difference between the rebuild kits since many state specifically for Rubicon models. Are the parts like bearings and shims different from a standard Dana 44 carrier and the Rubicon lockers? The only difference I see in some of the kits is the inclusion of the inner seal that goes on the front, but the other parts look identical to a stamdard Dana 44.

The main difference is the seals. Why not just buy a master install kit for a Rubicon and then you don't have to worry about it?

Price difference and kit availability. From one brand there is like a $60 difference.

This seems steep until you are missing a part and jeep has to sit for a week until the right part shows up.

Its all just projects sitting on shelves waiting to go on one of 3 TJs so not too worried about down time.
