I think what Offline is getting at is the arms may be new but the bushings that are pressed into the axle are old and degraded and contributing to the play or space that you are putting the washers in.

Regardless, the sleeve within the axle bushing should fit reasonable snug within the control arm, and it should be tight to the control are when the bolt is torqued to the proper spec. If you have washers in there and the bushing sleeve is not tight the the control arm housing, you are relying on the washers and rubber bushing to limit the side to side movement of this joint instead of the bushing sleeve.

So I took it to a shop for them too look at and they think I need new adjustable lower control arms and a new adjustable track bar even tho the one on it is brand new because it’s “bowing”
