Differences in stock front bumpers

I did not realize that there were different front bumpers. I bought a used replacement. No secondary hole for fog lights. And no holes for rubber blocks. Having to drill my own.

Why would a stock bumper not come with mounting holes for the rubber blocks?

Never heard of a stock china aftermarket bumper. This one was obviously used too. I had to repaint it.

There are many cheap Chinese replacement auto parts even bumpers....

Now i remember. Actually it was oem. It had the chrysler emblem and associated part numbers stamped into the bottom of it. I know that can be faked. But im pretty sure it was oem.

It also didnt have two holes for the fog lights. Just one on each side.

My job occasionally takes me to Everette, Smokey Point and Jim Creek. If you still have it next time I go, and I don't hear from this Tacoma guy, I'll buy it from you.

Front bumper back on. I did it this afternoon. My fog lights wires were blue to blue and black to black. I wired them back up the same. But they arent working. Ill reverse them tonight when it cools off. Take it for a bath too.

You are correct in your recall. You pointed them out to me, and I appreciate it. Worked out great. I’m still pecking away at things trying to get it to more of a stock look. Got rid of those god awful rear fenders and now I’m ready to ditch the huge bumper. Next will be the rear armor and a paint job.

It will just be an aftermarket replacement , I suppose no sense in making holes when so many dont use them anymore

That Chrysler stamp looks like a child drew a trapped starfish with a Dremel lol If that's US quality standard I may have to consider my future options lol

I’m still pecking away at things trying to get it to more of a stock look. Got rid of those god awful rear fenders and now I’m ready to ditch the huge bumper. Next will be the rear armor and a paint job.

a worthy venture in my view, mine has gone through that same metamorphosis over the past year, slowly removing some parts & swapping others for OEM. At this point I think I’ve pushed it about as far as I can, only remaining (visible) non-OEM features are the black headlight bezels & the oversized tires, two things I’m unwilling to part with at this point.

By the way I'm surprised you're having trouble finding a front bumper, there are tons of them popping up around here on Facebook Marketplace, but then again there are a ton of TJs being parted out due to rust so that may explain the abundance.

Besides this one. The only other was 2 hrs away. Unless i hit a jeep junkyard an hr away.

Its all good tho. I drilled my holes. And set the bumper blocks. Just thought it was weird that a Jeep ever came without them.

Fired up my foglights last night. Forgot you had to have the headlights on. My wiring was correct.
