Different clutch sound

So, I’ve read everyone else’s clutch sound posts trying to diagnose mine. If seems that mine is different. Maybe, I’m wrong. Here’s some background...I bought my Jeep a couple of months ago and had it looked at by a mechanic before I traveled to pick it up. The mechanic said nothing about the clutch. Anyways, every time I push down the clutch pedal it sounds like a faucet is on. It’s definitely not a grind or whistling sound. Clutch seems to work just fine. Ideas? The sound is upfront and fairly noisy. Thanks

Sounds like it could be the throwout bearing. I'd get a Luk clutch and replace the whole thing while I was there

Fairly noisy to you might not even be heard by someone else..??..

Is the clutch working proper? If so and the sound isn't too annoying you can live with it. (It's not urgent)

If you can't live with it you'll have to get in there to the clutch. Meaning pull the t-case, tranny, bell housing and then once in there you might as well install a new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and of course TO bearing.

Just know TO bearings can make a racket and last 100k.

I agree with @Rubicon88 that the sound can come and go and they can last a long time. If it's too annoying, get into it. It's a PITA but doable. I did mine about 3 weeks ago.

I had a similar thing happen last year, I was pulling up to my college and suddenly it had a loud screeching noise every time I pushed in the clutch. By the time I got back to my apartment the next day the clutch was pretty much inoperable and I had it changed the next day
