Difficult and noisy steering?

@KCsTJ the serpentine belt on the 4.0L is on a spring loaded tensioner. There isn't any way to snug it up without replacing the assembly. Not like an old alternator bracket that you can adjust. I suppose the belt could still be slipping under load, but I would think other things would be acting up too, like voltage and cooling, if it were.

@Ranger_b0b , thank you. I wondered about that. Wasn't sure if the 4.0 had the automatic tensioner.
My 97 2.5 has a manual adjust for the serpentine belt, that's why I asked.
Once I get my 4.0 I'll know these things.

Well, I’m reading the FSM. Here’s what it says, see #4. DAvey’s has a pump for $60 plus shipping
