Has anyone performed a diy highline to the stock tj fenders? I really want to do it just wanting to hear from someone that has done this.

Haven't done it personally, but I'm sure there's some good write-ups that could be found by some google searching if this is a burning question. There's also lots of kits to do a high line that are available. Any reason you want to do it yourself rather than a kit? Just for the fun?
A guy on WranglerForum has a great write up on doing your own.
He cut the hood, raised the fenders, looks just like the AEV kit.
Best thing about doing it yourself... or buying an old AEV kit is you can keep all the stock lighting. Every other kit I've seen leaves you to figure out signals and side markers.
