Do I need a SYE?

So I bought a new rear CV drive shaft to replace my older one. already have a slip yoke eliminator on it do I need another one or should it just bolt right up.

Should bolt right up. Usually recommended to use new bolts and straps

So long as the new CV driveshaft's front connection matches your type of SYE output connection. Some have flanges, some have a yoke the CV's front u-joint yoke bolts to. You looked at your existing CV driveshaft and verified its type plus measured its length before ordering the new driveshaft right?

I'm gonna be honest with you I thought I just had to get a CV driveshaft that fit my lift on my jeep and then i ordered it only now I'm finding out its not that simple

While many shafts can be ordered with a based range (ie 2-4 inch lift), it is better to measure and order the shaft built to your specific application.
