Do you keep extra fluids stored in your Jeep?

That's what I said until a few months ago.

Fluids-wise, I carry several bottles of ATF+4, a couple bottles of a GL-5 gear lube, and a quart of engine oil. The ATF+4 has come in very handy over the 20 years I've been carrying it, only once for me, the others for trail situations. And usually a gallon of distilled water in case of a cooling system problem. I have needed and used them all on the trail over the years.

After my spare was stolen I went without for three years. Almost to the day, I got a flat right in front of Discount Tire. Got the flat fixed and bought a new spare. No problems since!

I carry a spare tire on back and haven't had a flat tire on a Jeep in 20 years.

Tool rolls are quite common and inexpensive. There are ones like this. And cheaper ones for things like wrench sets.

I have an LJ, so there is more room. That said, I just packed up the Jeep for several days of wheeling. Bottom container has fluids, middle has tools, extraction gear, electrical, and extra parts. Top has u joints, tire puncture kit, extra nuts and bolts, and a few special tools..

Total weight in the containers is 135 lbs. I have an additional tool bag that weighs 30 lbs. Once strapped in I have plenty of room for a small tent, cooler, soft windows rolled up, and upper windows.

I have one of these mounted in the back of my jeep, was the best way to mount all the fluid securely and tightly in one space. It works good. I wheel and overland with 2 other TJ’s… so I have us covered for fluids

I don't carry coolant, there is water everywhere here, if I had to I could use lake or river water. (I do carry drinking water, and a water filter.)
Oil, trans fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid are all stored in little nooks and crannies in the engine compartment.

It makes a good conductor if you have to anodize something in the trail. Multi use. I like it.
