Door guard OEM adhesive

Is there a adhesive protection tape like the OEM protection for the door entrance where your feet scuff the lower panel when you get in and out


I see rubber aftermarket stick on’s but would like the OEM style protection

I installed these after removing my OEM protectors and like them much better. They mount with the exact same 3m tape but fit the contour of the surface much better. They also do not protrude below the door line interfering with my sliders.

Did you remove the OEM adhesive tape?

When I reattached mine I removed the old adhesive, wiped with alcohol and used 3M heavy duty outdoor double sticky backed tape; which has worked great.

How?

I use WD40 to remove old adhesive and it works great for that. Almost desolves it on contact. I hear goo be gone works well too.

I tried those but didn't have the clearance and they kept folding up when I shut the door. My doors seem pretty well aligned otherwise and I didn't want to mess that up. Did anybody else run in to that issue?
