So i had replaced my water pump and with it decided to replace the thermostat housing with the stat. The old one was was pretty fugly and the new ones are ones are cheap, and Doorman can't screw up a piece of metal pipe right??? Nope.
Word of caution check the face of aftermarket thermostat housing against a known true flat surface. After trying to trace down why my thermostat was hemorrhaging coolant, i checked the surface and it was warped on the bottom portion. Blasted the crusty old mopar part with some break clean and steel wool and it sealed up tight.
