Double DIN unit help

I've been down several roads with this, my Son's TJ started with the OEM radio and we swapped out to a single din with the adapter and he didn't like it so I found the 1.5 din unit in Taiwan with all the bells and whistles which he likes, when it came to my TJ I originally installed an OEM unit that was modified with the AUX jack which was ok but when I found out about the new 2 din Bezel there was no question that was the way to go.

I also wanted something different but wanted it to still look factory. I installed a RAQ model out of a 2007 Durango into my 98. Then I added a parrot mki9100 kit so that I can stream siriusxm radio from my phone.

So I'm seeing in the JK world, they're taking the touch screen units out of Town & County's or Caravans and placing them in the Wrangler. Anyone know if this
A. Possible
B. Is there a retrofit console with the space in it since my Wrangler doesn't have a double din space?

I know there's a small LCD display unit that runs $1000+ for the space we have, but it'd be awesome to run the T&C unit as they're around $200...

Thanks!
This is not possible due to the CANbus signal that those newer radios require to run. Trust me I tried!! And then I settled for the RAQ that I put in.

I knew someone must have tried.

Well, anything is possible though right? I'm assuming it would just be an insane amount of work.

Lol yeah I suppose. The amount of money it would cost though would not even be close to worth it. I did a huge amount of research and even had my brother (computer programmer) try to help me build a CANBUS immulator. Far more in depth than that though.

That's what I figured. Things can be done but with something like this the amount of time and money you'd have to put into it would be absurd.

I have the earlier version of this radio in my TJ and it works pretty good. It looks like they have since upgraded the unit to run Android and also include built in Wifi. https://insaneaudio.com/product/insane-audios-tj1002/
It's a little smaller screen than a true duoble DIN but it does look totally factory. I run a softtop too so I had the same concerns about adding anything that screemed STEAL ME!!! in the dash.
