Drive gear vs. electronic pickup

How do I know if my jeep has a drive gear vs. electronic pickup. I'm running 35" tires and my speedometer is off about 5 miles an hour faster than what I'm actually going. I need to know which one I have in order to either buy the calibrator or a different speedometer gear. Thank you.

Post a pic of the back of the transfer case.

Rubicon with a 241 is electric (hall sensor and tone ring)
Sport/Sahara/whatever else with a 231 is gear driven. Unless you have a super short SYE installed then it too would use a tone ring and hall sensor. If its a regular SYE then you would still be gear driven.

If you have a Rubicon it's electronic, all other TJ speedometers have a speedometer gear. Please enhance your Profile, it doesn't say what model you have.
