Driveline Play?

How much "play" or "slack" should there normally be when turning the driveshafts by hand with wheels on the ground? I think I have a good 5-6mm of rotation left and right on both front and rear shafts. Also there is vertical movement on the yoke coming out of the rear of the transfer case. It is only about 1-2mm.
Normal or "oh crap"?
It's a 99 with the 2.5L, NP231, and AX5.

There should be no vertical (up/down/side/side) play. Some rotational play is normal.

The rotation play is backlash and normal.

The lateral play is not normal. Tightening the nut on the yoke may be all that's needed.
