Was browsing the web while I’m supposed to be working and ran across this. It’s a advertisement from 1979. I figured some of you guys and gals would find it a bit interesting.
The Ford Quadravan was it for 4x4 vans in the beginning. I had one of dodges early 4x4 vans and it was a turd. Steering box and frame self destruction, front hubs cracking around the unit bearings and no parts to be had to fix it even straight from Dana. Lots of problems, was pretty cool still and great for desert trips with the bikes in back.More like early sportsmobile.
If I ever get a square body, I need to find one of these and import it.That's even earlier than this non Jeep Wrangler ...

I'd imagine they fall victim to the same problems we have here? Rotten cab corners, Rotten beds.I'd like to tell you that we still have lots of them here but that's not the case. I'll keep my eyes open for some "Wrangler" badges for you.
