The fear of a crushing forum review.
I would never trade holding back a devastating review for a free fix. I always get my cake and eat it.
That's bizarre. I mean, it's great, but very strange that they had a change of heart all of a sudden.
Will you ever be able to trust it? Or have you gotten down the path of LS swap so far there is no turning back?
I still have long term concerns about receiving support with a supercharged 4.0l considering how difficult this has been and how much time it has taken (I started this thread 1 month ago and honestly still nobody seems to have a solid answer of why this is happening.). My long term plan was still to stroke the inline 6 for more power and I can't justify the expense of that on something I don't have faith in.
One way or another, I'm sure they have been made aware of the discussions surrounding their supercharger.
I've only bought a few little things so far that haven't even shipped and could easily switch back my plans. But like you said, it's bizarre and I don't want to invest more money into bizarre.
Even if I stuck with the plain jane supercharged 4.0 until it breaks I'm still unhappy with my 2.72:1 transfer case and would need to invest in a 4:1 case which would not directly work with a LS transmission.
Edit: I think I could go either route short term and there's no wrong answer, I could always get an Atlas rebuilt for an LS at a later date, but I know that long term I'll need the LS so I figure why wait.

BoostedTech replaced the nose coupling and changed the oil this last week and called me today to offer to test it on a Jeep. If it has issues on their Jeep they'll replace the unit free of charge and refund me.
$400 and I'll have to still pay return shipping. But at least I can resell the unit in good conscience. If anyone is interested in buying the kit, I will provide the order number so you can verify with BoostedTech.

BoostedTech has driven around with my supercharger on their Jeep for the last week and has not found any issues with it.
I've also been driving around with my engine and transmission for the last week and put on 500 miles and have not found any issues with those other than possibly a slow shift from 3rd to 4th.
Hopefully if anyone has this problem in the future and finds this thread you'll have better luck diagnosing than I had... Post up the solution if you find it.
