Engine install question

Going to be installing a replacement 4.0 and have a question. I’ll be using the factor motor mounts with a Savvy 1” MML.

Which way would you do?

1) bolt the motor mounts to the engine brackets and line up through the MML when lowering the engine

2) mount the MML and motor mounts to the frame plates and align the engine bracket to the motor mount during lowering

Do you have the body off the frame? I think I would go with option number 2-number 1 is going to be very difficult to achieve if you are working with obstacles in place. If you have the body off the frame of the front end all the way off, either way would be ok, I should think.

Having replaced both motor mounts I’d pulle the motor mount then change the bracket out and tight back down the put the motor mount in but do. It tightened the cross bolt the do the other side the the weight settle back down on the mounts
