Engine Issue

Don't I need to have the PCM flashed to my VIN and miles? Or does seller do this?

Yeah, it has to be reprogrammed. My thought however, was that you could get one on eBay for $150 (there's tons of them) and then the dealer couldn't charge you more than an hour of labor (I assume) to program it for you.

Check 150tunes.com. Wayne does a lot of V8 tunes for $150 and will adjust for different setups for life without an extra charge. Not sure if he does the Jeep PCM but it is worth asking. He did Stingers ECM for me and I am thrilled !

So I was driving home from work today. I was stopped at a light, it went green, and I gave her gas.

She sputtered in first and second gear, but once in third the sputtering stopped. It felt like she was going to stall...never experienced this before.

Check engine light went on for the crank shaft position sensor. I replaced the sensor, but the issue remains. 1st and 2 second gear sputter and then it clears when I get into 3rd gear. When it sputters it doesn't go over 2-3 mph.

Thoughts?
Check your fuel pressure before spending money on a PCM. It should be around 44 psi.
