I might have missed it, but what is this new gasser you speak of?

I needed something to commute and settle my dad's estate. The Jeep doesn't work well with the interstate and winds here. Just bought a used 2016 VW Jetta. California car, lower miles, cheap enough. Get's good gas mileage. At least compared to a Wrangler.

Looked at hybrids and maybe an EV with a range extender. But they cost more and didn't work for the weekend travel distances.

Plus I don't need any issues like this guy

Drove home and got 40 mpg on the interstate. Should work for my current purposes.

I hope EVs continue. They are like data centers. Electrical growth keeps power plant design and construction engineers like me in high demand.

What a bullshit remark, an ignorant correlation that does no one any good. I'd wager luck had more to do with the fact that they aren't both dead than the car being a feckin' Tesla. It's a 300ft drop, FFS.
