There’s no shop with in an hour or a little more that can do exhausts. And the one I talked to wants way to much for just an exhaust so I had a thought. I have a dynomax 17731 super turbo muffler at the house. I’ve heard it sounds good on the I6 ( not to loud) so I’m thinking about just cutting off where the factory muffler is now and clamping this one on with a pipe facing down. I’ve seen exhausts done like this before just wanted to get some opinions. May that be if it’s a bad ideas good or if I should keep calling shops farther away and go that route also if anyone has the muffler would like hear from you. Thanks.

Is your muffler busted or something? Can you install a new one yourself?

Here is a short review I did when I needed a new exhaust. If you are in Florida you can go for a cheaper option than my choice, Banks, and go for like DynoMax or MBRP.

I’ve read that most of the after market exhausts you buy online for our jeeps are Kind of rubbish. So I just avoided them from the start. I’ll read your review now

There is a lot of rubbish parts out there, but if you do your own diligence you can find a good product. My Banks looks good and no complaints.

But yes years of salt water had rusted the muffler out and stuck it to the pipe. I took the clamp off of it about a year ago. Has not moved one bit

Wow, I wonder if it's what happened to mine and I used a sawzall to cut the headless bolts off.
