Exhaust manifold vs headers question

I’m gonna need to replace my exhaust manifold. So I’m wondering, where do I find a new manifold. Looking through the forum it sounds like the aftermarket headers have a tendency to crack, but i literally can’t find any manifolds for sale. So what do I do?

after a good bit of fighting with my B2 S1 O2 sensor, I’ve come to the conclusion that it is stuck in there for good. I’ve put blaster on it, torch, breaker bar (that we bent) with a sensor socket that rounded itself off. Took it to an exhaust shop to have them look at welding a new bung hole on, but that won’t work because of the location and metal type so I’m at a loss.

I hope you destroyed the socket and not the sensor nut. Either way I have a suggestion for you, 1- mix up some ATF & acetone 50/50 and use that instead of PB, do it warm and let it sit an hour or so, 2- try tightening the sensor just a little, like you just want to see it move, and if it does, start working the sensor out a little at a time by loosening, then tightening, and use the acetone/ATF on the threads as you go.

3' pipe wrench $22.99 at Harbor Freight.
p.s. I used one to loosen a stuck O2 sensor.

We left atleast enough of the edges on it that you can still get a tool on it. I’ll the acetone and

ill hopefully get a chance to try that, hopefully that will work, because if that doesn’t work I’m gonna have to take it to the shop back home. They used an induction heater to get the first one off a few years ago.

Zero issues with Banks headers on my 97...3 plus years... lifetime warranty.

Only downside to the warranty is not being able to cut off that damn donut flange and replace it with a v-band.

Well, I assumed since he asked for what manifold to use he had a one piece but looking now at his profile I see he has the newer two piece manifolds already, so you are correct.

And I have put new style two piece headers on my older 0630 casting head. I just didn't think that's what he was asking about. Good catch.

How well did they fit considering how small the 2000+ exhaust ports are?

I ran 2000+ exhaust manifolds on my 1998 heads without issues. I had to make sure that the gasket covered the ports properly. The only problem I had was that they discontinued the early 2000 down pipe without the mini cats so I had to go back to a header.
