Im thinking of buying Jeep first time. I never have own one. Jeep is 2002 Wrangler SE. Standard 4 cylinder. The guy went from $9990 to 8500. Can i have a solid opinion if you guys think is worth it? Thank You.

Looks super clean from the pics you posted.
Check for frame rust - make sure it's not some crazy coating on top of frame rust.
Check out all the bushings - most people who lift them fail to do proper maintenance.
Pull tub carpet back and make sure there's no significant tub rust
Lock it in 4hi, 4low, etc and make sure all is well.
Then the normal stuff, transmission, engine, etc.
Go with your gut.

Are you capable of doing most of that yourself? If not, 20+ year old vehicles are very expensive to own.
I just bought my 99 Wrangler last month. I wanted a six cylinder, auto transmission, hardtop, AC, 2 door and the best condition I could find for the money.
I am happy with my purchase, I drove 400 miles to get it, although I have been doing numerous repairs since I bought it. Small stuff, but still stuff that needed to be done to make it safe and legal.

The post above is true- I have yet to see one of these that did not need some TLC , in addition to time and wear, these vehicles are “messed with” more than any I have ever seen-
I paid over 30k for my last one, from a meticulous owner and it had a good pedigree, still had to fix a dozen things....
Even unmolested they need fluids, plugs, vacuum fittings, and all manner of small fixes-
So if you like to tinker you’re going to enjoy a TJ.
A 6 Cylinder gets down the road better- The reason that one is in such good condition for the money is the engine-
I like the condition at a glance, if you can find a 6cyl. close to that shape and mileage (assuming the frame is good), you will pay more but you will be happier.
