i was changing the fluid in my new 97 tj and when i removed the rear diff. cover had 3 bb sized chunks of spyder gear fall out. it looks to be from the center of the gear teeth. i know they can be changed but am thinking of adding limited slip to it while i'm in there. it's a 3.07 ratio. what would be the easiest and most economical way to do it ? has 161k miles on it . thanks for any info !

The best/easiest would be to have an Eaton Truetrac (AKA Detroit Truetrac) limited slip differential installed. That will also replace the spider gears.

Only advice I can give is if the Gears need to change decide if you want larger tires and then pick the gears, don't just replace the 3.07.

only ones i've found so far are for 3.54 ratios and higher not good for the 3.07's
