I bought one if only to support a local buddy. I also like the idea of taking all of the metal out of the equation.
I made my own version with my pink Barbie Jeep rope from Amazon that recently died a horrible death.
I find it very handy to have a soft shackle tied on the end of the rope...but... understand the cost of that convenience is the end of your winch rope is now a wear item.
So the freedom style rope works great on my dump trailer for dragging trash and cars up. And the Wizard Recovery Gear thimble is great for my Jeep. Again, just my opinion.
