Front and rear axle questions

Ok y’all 2 part question. Are all TJ’s non rubi have Dana 30 front?
I have a 2000 Sport and I’m assuming it’s a Dana 30 front. How do I tell if the rear is a a Dana 44?
And lastly. The front diff cover I have is in pretty rough shape. Would it be my worthwhile to buy a new one or repair the old? Thank you all

I’ll certainly take a few pics but whoever owned it prior too just absolutely coated it with maybe something like POR 15 but did a terrible job at it

That stuff can be stripped easily with media blasting or aircraft stripper.

you either have a Dana 35 or a Dana 44 rear in your TJ this is the shape of the cover to help you identify it.

Here's covers to help you identify what you have. If you are going to go to an aftermarket cover for your TJ, this style has the most clearance.

Yes on the 30..

44?? You can put your vin into a buikd sheet website

Get a new cover...
