The other day I was driving my 06 LJ and came to a red light. The stop was on a downhill slant. All of a sudden I looked at my fuel gauge and notice is dropping quickly. In a matter of seconds it was on E. I know I had at least 1/4 or more in the tank. I immediately when to the station and filled up and of course it didn't need a full tank. I have not had the issue since. Any thoughts on if it is the gauge or the pump/sending unit is starting to go bad? Any help in diagnosing would be great. Looking for a place to start.
