Fuel issue and not the pump

When the jeep sits for a while it will crank fine. But if I stop somewhere then try to crank again it has a hard time cranking. It's turning over just starving for gas, I will pump the gas pedal and it will crank. I just this weekend changed the fuel pump and same thing. Didn't see a fuel filter on under carriage near beams and I still need to check the fuel pressure. Any ideas?

Sounds a bit more like vapor lock, is it really rough when if finally starts?

No actually once it cranks it is smooth like normal. Just as if it starving for fuel. I'm being told pumping the gas really isn't doing anything. Not sure bc it works everytime

Probably not vapor lock, I've seen ignition switches go bad so they crank but don't catch until you just let off on the key. All the filters are in the tank with the pump, if you changed that out it's probably not related to the pump or fuel supply but checking pressure couldn't hurt?

Try cycling the key from off to run 3x's. this will allow it to build fuel pressure prior to starting it. Then see if it starts normal.
Pumping the pedal will do nothing, it's fuel injected not carbureted.
