Gauge cluster and hardtop wiring

This may be a ridiculous to some of you so please be kind or ignore;
I have a 2002 wrangler that had a hacked up harness in it from factory with hardtop and 2 switches. I had trouble finding it but I found a harness I thought was the same until I realized after install it was in fact not. It didn't have pigtail for hardtop connector. Note...all hardtop wiring and pieces are in place from factory until the dash wiring. Those are not hardtop ready. I have my old one. First my question is would that create a cluster no message bus just leaving the plug under console go as a dead end? If it could is there a way to complete the circut and be done or do I have to make the harness in the dash area to coincide with what was originally there? Thanks

I am going to take a stab at this. Yes, it’s possible. The "No Bus" message typically happens when there’s a break in the CCD (Chrysler Collision Detection) data bus, which runs between the PCM, cluster, and other modules. If the harness you installed is missing the wiring for the hardtop connector, it might also be missing or improperly terminating some CCD bus wires.

If the missing pigtail was just for power and accessories (defrost, wiper), it shouldn’t cause a "No Bus" error. But if any CCD bus wires were removed or left disconnected, it could absolutely cause the issue.

It is a 6 pin connector. I'm looking into it more todsy thanks.
