Gearing Advice

Hello,

I have an 01 4.0L 5 speed with the 3.07 gears.

I currently have 31s and and trying to decide on 4.10 vs 4.56. I cannot seem to find 4.10s anywhere but i can get some 4.56 from revolution.

Looks like based on grimjeep gear calculator i would be running about 2700 on the highway at 70mph.

Is that too high?

2700 is definitely not too high for the engine. I ran 2750 at 70 mph with 35's and 4.88 and loved it. Plus that 4.56 would be ideal for 33's in the futu

I’d go 4.56. I ran 4.10 and 31’s for a while and it was good but I wished for more quite often. I’d say 4.56 for 31s, 4.88 for 33’s, and 5.13 for 35’s on the AX15.

I have 4.56 with the 5 speed. Ran 31’s for awhile and was fine. Works with my 32’s now.
