I have not researched enough to know your engine, or how the standard gears compare to automatic. I do know I maxed my regear out, and honestly I think it is still a tad short for 33" tires. My Jeep runs fine at 70-80mph, but it hunts fairly badly between 55 and 65. As for 33" tires, when I did my research, most suggested a 4" lift for full travel. Then full travel is not really defined, as if I outboarded, I would still need a body lift (probably mostly because if you are going to outboard, you will probably also want to tummy tuck).
Abet, most of this was research, and not personal experience (well accept for how it drives). When I got it, I had 3.73 gears and 35" tires... It is better now, after going to a 5.13s and 33" tires. At least I can use overdrive again (I have an automatic).
