Going from 4" springs to 4.5" springs

So as my Jeep sits now I have 4 inch lift from the looks of the control arms still being stock and tracking bar still stock I would say it was a cheap lift. I’m wanting to go to the metal Cloak 4.5 inch springs but wanting to know if I will run into problems? I already put adjustable control arms, trac bar, and I put fox 2.0 shocks for 4 to 6 inch lift. Also have a SYE installed. I don’t think I will run into any problems but figured I would ask for some advice before ordering.

Its not that I want to gain a half inch just metal cloak doesn’t offer a 4 inch spring just 4.5 inch and I run there lift on an older tj I had and liked it so was just going the same route with this one.

Got ya. You can get MC 4.5” springs and be just fine but if I was in your position I would buy a savvy 1.25” body lift to allow for a tummy tuck in the future plus additional clearance for tires. If I was looking to get new 4” springs I would get currie 4” springs. With that combo you’ll have 5.25” of lift.

What will MC springs do that your existing springs aren't doing? Are you aware that MC rear coils require more bump stop extension than a normal ~4" spring?

Seems a lot of cash and labor for a 1/2". That little bit can easily be from weight, time, or several other things. You may even end up with less lift. What is the spring weight rating of the springs you have now and the MC springs? Without knowing this you may find the change may go the wrong way.
I get that you liked the MC suspension on your other Jeep, but every Jeep is unique. So unless you have a carbon copy of your earlier TJ you may be disappointed.

If you have adjustable control arms then no, you won't have an issue going from 4" springs to 4.5" springs. The most you'll have to do is adjust the arms a bit so that your rear driveshaft is angled properly.

If you have a 4" lift currently and it doesn't already have adjustable control arms, that must be one shitty lift for sure

You must have a hell of a transfer case drop
