That might be a reasonable option for city dwellers to defend themselves from road-ragers, but I don't think they'd be much help against wildlife.

A previous order from Q-tech, likewise with incorrect contents (Omix sunvisors) was a major hassle to obtain an RMA with prepaid return shipping and subsequent refund. OTOH, Amazon Prime is so easy. Both issues (RT bars and Omix sunvisors) were Chinese mfr errors vs Amazon's fulfillment...

I have dealt with returns from Q-tech twice and never got a resolution.

I must have gotten a good pair of hooke. Gone through (broken off)a few aluminum ones but these are steel. Havnt bent them at all. Not USA made but so far the best I’ve had and no reason to change them.

I also got a good set of Hooke for my son's LJ. They were solid steel and the fit was as good as the Grabars on my LJ.

I assume they have just the one style, if so they mount around the sport cage instead of to the bolts in the front window frame.

@rasband got it. They clamp around the sport bar. I think I am on season three or four with them. They haven’t budged and I use it all the time. Absolutely zero movement in them.

Those CMM Offroad are freaking awesome. The mirror addition is pretty cool too. I have some small, round mirrors attached to my $30 chinesium grabars, but the passenger side is always a bit frustrating to adjust and get to stay in place and be visible. This thread has given me some ideas. I may take a die grinder to the bracketry today to see if I can get them better.

The mirror mounts are neat. Rock solid as well. No vibrations. And I like the wide angle view they provide. Your choice as to how high/low you mount them too.

I have these too, bars and mirrors. Definately worth it, they always get looked at by anybody strolling by my Jeep, they're super quality and just frick'n cool as hell.

The RT Offroad grab handles arrived from Quadratec, took only a few minutes to install. I like them but more importantly the wife likes them, she hated using the fabric one. Tucked the fabric ones up on top of the roll bat for now.
