Is there something preventing you from driving your TJ to pick it up? Far easier and safer than a pickup bed. You’ll need to strap it down so it doesn’t slide and likely have to put it sideways with the front part sticking out the side.

Yep, the hard top is located en-route of a 5-hour highway trip, and I'm not taking the TJ on that trip. Renting a car for the trip anyway, and thought I'd rent a pickup instead.

5 hours in a TJ isn't bad... we drove ours from Ft Lauderdale to Huntsville in a 12 hour trip last year. Wife, kid, and me... and wife packs like it's the end of the world for trips...
