I went to take my hard top off recently, and it ripped the weatherstripping connecting it to the tub to pieces.

All of the replacements I've looked at have very poor reviews saying it doesn't sit right, etc.

Does anyone have a suggestion for one that actually does work properly? Oem is no longer available from what I have found.

Are you talking about the windshield area or where it sits on the tub above the wheel wells?

It's just closed cell weatherstrip foam.
Any hardware store should carry it.

Or something like this.

Just go to the hardware store and buy some 1 inch foam weatherstrip like they use on canopies...this is not the job to overthink you are just looking for a good seal

On the tub above the wheels.

any foam rubber type with good adhesive should work. just make sure to remove all of the old and clean the bottom of hardtop good before installing the new. make sure you keep and reuse the mucket seals on the tub at the rear of the door opening.

To help prevent this I do two things.
Keep the top edge of the tub clean with wax or polish;
and I sprinkle baby powder on it before putting the top back on for the winter.
