I painted a F150 camper top with Krylon Fusion satin black & only saw winters a few years and it already began deteriorating and chips flaking off. Im saying this because this isnt even near the road where rocks fly and chip things
I have it on a ceiling rack in my garage 3 seasons out if the year too. If you can do Rustoleum oil based paint & HVLP it will last longer IMO.
However going to bare or near bare steel I would advise using a few cold galvanizing primer spray base coats, and then a THICK several coats of Rustoleum oil based professional. Thin coats of paint on bare steel isnt gonna make it long. May wanna consider powdercoating it also
