Has anyone used the 10mm OME spacers with OME light duty springs?

Calling Dirk is a good idea. He will ask you questions in order to estimate the weight of your Jeep. Then he can recommend the appropriate front and rear springs for your desired ride height.

Also, 33s really need 3.5-4" of total lift. There isn't an OME coil out there that is adequate for 33s without a small body lift. Even then, it is only barely enough if you get the bump stop and shock lengths right.

The OP ordered the Ultimate kit which comes with the JKS BL and a MML, so he is on the correct path to fit 33s with that kit. No other items would be required outside of that Ultimate kit.

Of course this now brings up gearing once you add those 33s.

X2. For 33's, I always recommend a 3" suspension lift plus a 1" body lift.
 
So I called back Dirk and changed the order. He’s an extremely nice guy and has been extremely helpful. He actually recommended the lighter springs based on ride comfort and build. I am installing the body lift also, so am I set for 33’s other than a re-gear?

What shocks? If it rides too stiffly, it's either the shock absorbers are too stiff or the tires are overinflated. I'm still recommending Rancho's RS5000x shocks for your particular build as they work well together with a good ride. Make sure your 33's are aired up to no higher than 26 psi when the TJ is lightly loaded or 28 psi when fully loaded.
 
I know you guys are going to blast me for this, but having dealt with the same issues as the OP, I did find that changing the springs did change the ride. The spring rates are different in the light duty compared to the heavy duty. Just the fact that it takes more pressure to move a heavier spring rate would let me believe that that could change the ride. If not, we would all be running tuff countries with Rancho shocks right?

Quick background because most of you know already, but I ordered heavy fronts and heavy rears for my TJ. I ordered the nitro shocks heavy front and rear also. Then after installing I found my rear end had more than two inches of rake. It was ridiculous. So I called ARB and they said since I had no weight in the rear I should run lights. So I ordered lights. I didn't change the shocks or anything. I only changed the rear springs. It did settle the rear end down, but I did notice it was a little bouncer and definitely softer.

Then I towed my tent trailer and it sagged massively, so I put the heavys back in, but put more spacers up front and it went back to being a little stiffer. Maybe I am crazy but my butt feels what it feels. I am not trying to argue with you just trying to get to the bottom of that statement.

I believe there is some kind of difference however minor.

Message to the OP:
When I talked to ARB about my huge rake he told me that when you put your springs in there is no way to know how it was going to come out and TJ's are all different, and he mentioned that sometimes you have to do a few times mix and matching springs spacers to get it as level as you want. The OME spring spacers are the same size front and rear and usually not enough in the front to level it out if that is what you are looking for. I suggest maybe some 3/4 daystars up front possibly if necessary.

As far as the shocks, I think you will like the OME, The Ranchos are good too and cheaper, but they don't come in the kit. You wont be disappointed either way in my opinion.

A few things to note that add some interesting perspective...

There are no OME coils of varying spring rates or lengths that also provide the same ride height as another coil. Meaning that all OME coil options will result in a different ride height on a given Jeep. If you are changing springs (and ride heights) without changing shocks, you are also changing the travel bias of the shock. Depending on how far you go, one way or another, you increase the risk of either riding the bump stops or reaching full extension of the shock and then lifting the axle off the ground. Neither will result in a comfortable ride if the bias is shifted too much to one end.

I've been down this road before with mixing coils and spacers and I won't go so far as to say that differing spring rates are imperceptable to the attentive daily driver. I noticed it. But once I changed shocks, I quickly realized how much more significant that change was compared to a ~90lb (2 coils x 45lb) difference in spring rate on a 4300lb vehicle.

If you know your sprung weights, the amount of lift the Jeep will get with a linear rate spring is entirely predictable. I did this early on in my build with several sets of OME springs and was always correct within small fractions of an inch. That is the real beauty of OME. They have many options and they publish their rates and lengths.

When I say that Dirk at DPG will ask questions to estimate your Jeep's weight, this is what he is doing.

I see what you are saying, but we are talking less than an inch. It is crazy that less than an inch will change a shock dampner that much ride change. I mean I am not a shock engineer, so all I can do is take your word for it, but it is not like I am bottoming out or over extending my shock leaving my driveway. When I say it changed my ride hight it did, but it was about an inch, still the shock had plenty of room either way. Plus the shocks were new with the kit. I changed my springs within 2 weeks of putting them on. Meaning I bought the heavies, noticed and issue, ordered new lights and put them on as soon as they arrived. Drove for a month then put the heavies back on changing spacers up a little, then drove for about 3 months, and put a whole new Currie lift on. That's my story and I sticking to it.

I honestly don't know as much about it as you for sure, but for whatever the reason, it definitely rode differently changing the springs.

I don't doubt any of that. Honestly, what you describe sounds familiar. I only offer the shifting of the travel bias because it is a very real scenario.

I've considered running the 941's in the back since my TJ is so light back there. My fear is when I tow the trailer, or add my 80lb dog and gear back there I would sag. 95% of the other time there is nothing back there when I am in "commute mode".

I haven't tested them yet, but I installed some air ride air bags just for that occasion. I haven't actually plumbed mine because before I could do it. I ordered whole new rear end, so I knew I was going to have to change them out anyway.
 
Thanks everyone. I decided to compromise and go with 933 front/942 rear springs. I went back and forth on the 934/949 springs, but think they will be overkill for my intended build. I am hoping it sits fairly level with this setup.
