Hate doing this

After hitting 200,000mi I did the same and bought another vehicle to drive (almost) everyday. It was the right (smart) thing to do, especially since I will keep my TJ until I die. Well that's the plan anyway.

x4!

When I finally paid the TJ off, I went right into another car payment so I could keep the wear-and-tear off it. I think I put 120 miles on it last year.

A couple notes on affordability and insurance companies:

1. Some auto insurance companies allow you to temporarily "remove" coverage from vehicles that you don't plan on driving for a while. The coverage is still there, but becomes inactive. If you decide to drive the vehicle again, though, you must contact your insurance company before you do and reactivate the coverage.

2. Some auto insurance companies also give discounts on multiple lines of coverage, such as covering multiple vehicles. They benefit from covering more of your stuff, you benefit from the discount they give you for using more of their services.
