Headlight warning light

Hi Guys
This has probably been discussed before.I have a 2000 tj.When I leave the lights on and turn off the jeep there is no warning buzzer.A friend with an older car just wired a bulb on the dash that if the light is left on when ignition shuts off he sees the small bulb is lit up.I leave them on in the daytime in heavy traffic and sometime forget to shut them off.I was wondering what dash wire I could splice into,maybe near the radio or a dash light wire.

Does it beep if your door is open with the key in?

No it doesn't beep either way.There is a door switch.

Look for a missing fuse that should be in slot #4, behind the glovebox.

It was a missing fuse in slot 4.Did they take it out because of taking the doors off?
Boy I should have checked that first.Dumb me.

Yes, because they took the doors off.
There's a way to add a switch instead of pulling the fuse all of the time.
