Hi Forum group! Hoping you all can she's some light and help me figure out what's going on with my ac system. I have a 2002 tj that is currently giving me minor issues with which vents ac is coming out from. I've read a lot about blend doors but from what I understand that's for temp control and after checking my blend door....it works. However, when selecting different settings of where I want the air to be venting from the only 2 options I have are, ac blowing out of every vent or defrost only. I can switch between the two but can't do anything else with the modes in between. I can shut my air off too if that helps in deciphering the situation.
Any help on how many doors the ac box has, what they do, where they're located and how to fix them would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and I've also checked the vacuum line in the engine bay and it seems fine.
