Heater core radiator hose sizes

Are both rad hoses leading to the heater core 5/8? Or is the lower one a little smaller. Also, is the top one the inlet hose and the lower one the outlet?

They are different sizes, but off the top of my head I don't remember the sizes.

I *THINK* its 1/2" and 5/8" - but don't quote me on that...
