Just looking for a good replacement. Seems like everyone says performance radiator just wondering if it’s still a good one to get.

I bought a made to order Brassworks heater core. It was expensive and took 12-14 weeks IIRC, I have yet to install it because it's a PITA job but the part looks well made and to be of quality. I bought the newer update, apparently their 1st model lacked heating output, this one is said to be revised and OEM output. Check them out during your search, they are a speciality radiator and heater core manufacturer for old vehicles. USA made.

I thought the general opinion on the brassworks is that they didn't actually transmit much heat?

This was definitely the case on their first production models years ago, they have since improved the design according to their customer service and a few others on the forum.
