2006 lj, I just replaced heater core. Blower is fine, door actuator working door opens closes, hoses feel hot feed and return...but no hot air..warm at best...any ideas???
I was thinking that too...but the return goes back to water pump..wouldn't that be causing over heating issues if coolant wasn't circulating..tomorrow ill pull the hoses and use a funnel to manually fill core with coolant.

Water can flow thru the engine pushed by the water pump, but the air can remained trapped in the heater core with a minute amount of water flowing thru.
When burping the core; I would suggest you park the Jeep on an incline to promote the removal of air from the core.
Well, that core never put out much heat and failed in 6 months...I recently ordered, received, and installed a custom built core from thebrassworks. Copper core with brass connectors...No plastic, substantial, fit perfectly and blows hot...ready for winter...
