yes, that i what I am most concerned about, I have already look at several that looked great until you crawled under them. I did find a '97 TJ with a spotless frame but with 150k on it for 8k.Welcome, make sure to check the frame well!
That’s usually the case. I wouldn’t be afraid of a TJ with 150k if it’s clean and looks like it’s been well cared for.yes, that i what I am most concerned about, I have already look at several that looked great until you crawled under them. I got it confused with a different ad its a 2003 for $7.6k with 150k miles. 4.0L 5spd.That’s usually the case. I wouldn’t be afraid of a TJ with 150k if it’s clean and looks like it’s been well cared for.

this jeep is 6 hours from me do you think its worth it to go look at it? It has 129,xxx miles on it and they are asking $11k. Which ever jeep I end up with I plan on keeping for the rest of its serviceable life (hopefully 8+ years). The owner is going to call me tomorrow and send me more picturesSomeone has definitely rattle canned it. When you look at it, make sure you reach inside and feel for debris/rust chunks. Check the rear also, inboard side of the frame just behind the lower control arm.
Can’t say on the price, that’s determined by your location + supply and demand. But I think 11k ought to get something fairly nice no matter where you are.
Checking the key items everyone’s pointing out is smart too.
I’d make sure I liked all the mods the owner’s done. Because it could get expensive re-doing things he’s done. Did he tell you exactly what he’s done and what parts he’s used?
If you’re satisfied it has what you want, then you probably want to drive it. Then pick it apart for any shortcomings you see, hear, or feel.
That's a clean looking rig. Let us know how it goes. The burgandy one I just posted is an '03 5spd, 4.0L w/ 150k for $7,600. I am going to look at it this week.
I noticed that one too. I've never seen that before!Welcome from Northern Va. that one doesn’t look terrible. Seems to be priced a bit high to me. I’ve also never seen a standard CV axle shaft in the front. Interesting.
That rig also didn't have a sway bar. The burgundy one is nicer for sure.I noticed that one too. I've never seen that before!
