Do those red greasable seals that you seal up into the axle tube really help ??

No, they're not needed and are a waste of $$$. And in fact could hide a leak coming from the inner seal which would not be good.

ok i got everything finished, all the measurements were spot on and the tire spin test worked perfect. except im waiting on the one hour wait time to torque down the dif cover bolts, but the directions say I have to wait for 24 hours till i put the dif oil in and run the jeep/
If you don't mind spending a little $ and saving hours of time, try Lube Locker reusable gaskets. No more RTV and scraping everytime you service the housing. And, we all change that gear oil on a regular basis, right?
Ya know I thought about it and even considered the trying one. I guess I should have asked yall. I just havent had any experience with the re-usable gaskets. Ive always used the rtv gasket stuff.
Lube-Loker gaskets are good most of the time but not always. I run one on my rear Dana 44 without problem but I could never get it to seal perfectly (a drop or two every day) on my front Dana 44 even with two different different covers. I ended up using RTV on my front axle after several unsuccessful attempts to get the Lube-Loker to seal. Yes, both surfaces were scrupulously clean.

ya know Its been a long time since i have been around a locker, but this aussie ( so far) is working great. I took the jeep out into a grassy pasture with steep short hills and in 2wd it would start spinning , then I would put it in 4low and slowly crawl up the hill with no spinning at all. I was impressed. Thanks for all the help guys.
