Help Needed...

All gloving for us. Our system is primarily 13kv with some 4kv still left way out in the boonies. For our distribution crews anyway. All the transmission work is contracted out these days.

We have a real menagerie of voltages here...lol! 2400kv, 4800kv, 4160kv, 8000kv,13,200kv, 13,800kv, 14,400kv, 23kv, 27kv, 34.5kv and prob a few I haven't run into yet...most of our transmission is contracted out as well, but the company does have a small transmission crew for maintenance jobs. I'd like to get out of CT and tramp for a while when my kids get thru high school. Winters in the bucket seem longer the older I get! Lol!

Wow, i bet you guys have one hell of a transormer collection at the yard lol. Or is everything tap changing? I'm headed west in the next year or two, to another utility. Not to get away from winter, just Iowa haha.

A simple little test light would quickly resolve the issue without having to pull min-fuses or ATO fuses. They are made with exposed tabs so you can touch them with your probe. Power on both tabs = good! The larger square j-case style can be visually inspected through the clear plastic top.
