Calling @John CooperSpeaking of SE AZ, a co-worker is selling his 5 acre ranchette near Benson. I can put you in touch with him if you’re interested.
Benson is not a bad area. It's on the I-10 and a hour from Tucson.
Alabama is full, sorry we just don't have room...........![]()

I live in Bowling Green, KY now. I have moved several places (mostly in the South) for work and I have lived in much worse places. The weather here is not terrible, (there are actually 4 seasons) you can expect at least one snow a year with some accumulation. BG is a large enough town there is plenty to do but still not terrible to get around in. Whatever BG lacks is easy enough to find 1hr. away in Nashville. I am less than 4 hrs. from Windrock, Hawk Pride, Land Between the Lakes and there are a few local places to ride here in Rocky Ridge and Blue Holler that I can drive to the trial, wheel and drive home. I'll be retiring in the next year and we are headed back to North Alabama (Florence) although BG reminds me a lot of minus the TN River.

He might even throw in the telescope dome if you’re interested in astronomy.
The kitchen is fine - doubly so because there's no fugly stainless steel. But that barn of a living room needs some walls!I would have to gut the kitchen though.

I did not know that you thought you were a designer.
I'm not. I just know what I like, and HGTV inspired "open concept" floorplans and fugly STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES aren't it.
You must have little to no friends. Hard to entertain 20-30 people with a bunch of walls in the way.
You assume he wants to entertain them in the living room.
I mean it's not always sunny outside.

Why in Goddess's name would I want to entertain 30 people in the first place, much less in my house? I like walls - they stop NOISE and smells.
I didn’t say outside
I think the most people we've ever had in the house at once was around 12.Ok - I grew up with 7 siblings lol. So 30 people was easy to reach, in fact we're having 20 over tomorrow.
