Need help determining gear ratio. rear axle went out and need to know.

You should have 4.1X stock but if you aren't the original owner it could have been swapped. The only way to know for sure is count teeth on the gears or spin the input and check the output.
(if you are having a shop do work on the axle let them buy the correct parts, if looking for a used axle 4.1X is probably what you need but I'd personally check it before spending money)

With the numbers on that differential I agree that 4.11s are almost a definite...
I have heard of rare occasions where there were 4.56s with the 4 cylinder....

To add....if you don't know the history of the Jeep...I'd make sure...

they are 101% 4.10's on your platform

Lol atleast the nails are clean. mine get so nasty from all the hard work on the jeep and butt diggen.
pop that bad boi open and check. Divide the number of driven gear teeth by the number of drive gear teeth. lil math never killed anyone.
