High mount brake light: what lamp?

The manufactures PN: 921

While your referenced part states it replaces the 921 and the base may fit into the lights receptacle; I have found that the dimensions of some LEDs do not fit inside the enclosure.
You will need to verify that.

Thanks, I was hoping to get a flashing one since I've been rear ended once and almost again yesterday. For some reason people like to follow behind me really close in the TJ.
 
I went ahead and ordered it, I just watched the video and it shows one installed and working in a TJ.

I dunno if they make LED bulbs that flash or not, but these little modules are readily available:

Several years ago I removed the high mount brake light and replaced it with a LED ring behind the spare tire and the LED brake lights.
It's quite bright at night and gets other drivers attention.
